We have tried to develop an online system that is simple, effective, and convenient.  If you have already registered for the course, you should have received the information about how to logon, including your student ID number and passcode. If not, contact us right away at the toll free number. Each course has a different passcode.

IMPORTANT TECHNICAL POINTS

  1. If the size of the type is hard to read, you can, in Explorer, adjust the viewing size by clicking on the "View" menu, then on "text size" and then select either "smaller," "medium" or "larger." Try different settings to fit your viewing needs.
  2. This course may not work with older browsers. It is strongly suggested you use at least Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or Netscape 6.0.  This site will not work with Firefox.
  3. ALWAYS USE THE NAVIGATION BUTTONS PROVIDED ON THE COURSE PAGES ("PREV", "NEXT", AND "EXIT COURSE").  IF YOU DON'T, YOUR WORK WILL NOT BE SAVED AND IT WILL HAVE TO BE RE-ENTERED AGAIN. DO NOT USE YOUR BROWSER BUTTONS.

 This information has been added to the security section of the course.  It is important enough that even if you have started a course, you should be sure you have an antivirus program and cleaning tools to remove spyware, malicious software, and tracking cookies.  Be sure to check out the security section for more information. 

THESE ARE REALLY IMPORTANT PROGRAMS YOU SHOULD HAVE ON YOUR COMPUTER 

Malicious Program Cleaners  (In addition to your anti-virus program.)  The following is a list of FREE programs.  Use several (at least the first two) and scan your computer weekly. 

 Even though the websites are included, the best place to find the free downloads is www.cnet.com.  Type the title into the search window.  Also be careful that they don't misguide you to one of the paid versions.   

Having more than one of these programs, and trying to run them once a week, may seem like overkill.  You will probably experience when one program misses something that another one will find.  Maybe you run some one week and different ones the next.  Before you run them, download the “update” data files to have the latest information.  Most programs have an obvious “update” button/tab.
