Learning from the masters is a key means of transferring the best to the best. Though the classic artists are long gone, the Internet has now made their talent something you can bring into your classroom and show your students the secrets that gave these artists and their talent immortality. Explore not only da Vinci’s art work, but also explore his art of invention. Visit Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and famous sculptures. Gauguin represents a different era in the evolution of art but no less important. Your road of Internet discovery will provide more than just the art. It will look at their lives, their role in history, and even the places where they lived. Read their biographies and put their art together with their lives to bring them to life for your students. These are the masters your students can learn from. Tie it all together with course project, a web quest, that your students can use independently or in class to discover and explore these great art master.
